We had a prospective customer who wanted to know the difference between Gnostice Print2eDoc and Gnostice Print2eDoc SDK before making his purchase. Here is the difference between the two products.
- While Print2eDoc is a desktop application, Print2eDoc SDK is a developer tool (software development kit).
- Print2eDoc can be used by regular computer users to convert documents whereas Print2eDoc SDK can only be used by software developers.
- Users can directly interact with Gnostice Print2eDoc to convert documents. Software developers will use Print2eDoc SDK only to create new software applications, which will ultimately have document conversion capabilities. Users may or may not interact with these new software applications, as this is dependent on how the software developers designed the application.
- Print2eDoc is a standalone application and can convert documents on its own. Print2eDoc SDK requires an installed copy of Print2eDoc to convert documents.
- Print2eDoc is installed as a software printer. Print2eDoc SDK is a COM component that can be used in Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, Visual C#, Visual J#, Visual C++, CodeGear Delphi, CodeGear C++Builder, and even older versions of Delphi and C++Builder.
- On its own, Print2eDoc has limited automation and batch processing capabilities. With Print2eDoc SDK, it is possible to create applications that can control, monitor, automate and batch-process document conversion jobs.
